Bready Football Friday

It’s always fun when I meet up with Ethan Koko. Here are some candid shots of us having a roti session together when he was in town not too long ago to watch Liverpool vs Malaysia.

Mmmmmm......bready good stuff!

What? You support Liverpool?!

What? You support Man U?

Our lightwearted session soon turned serious when Ethan Koko started trumpeting “Liverpool! Liverpool!”, to which I started to defiantly respond with my own chorus of “Man U! Man U!”

Oh well, guess this is how all those roticanai sessions took shape…haha…:-D

Enrolment Day!

I would consider Koko Collin to have proudly ‘graduated’ from Papa’s self proclaimed ManU academy. How do I know that he has graduated? Well, it is not hard to notice when my brother confidently and unashamedly says things like…

“I want to wear Man U shirt!….and pants!”

“Man U is my favourite team!”

“Look!! Man U!!” (whenever he sees any Man U logo)

“Man U! Man U!”

Sigh….anyway… I have been worriedly wondering when will I be enrolled? My answer came sooner than I thought…check out the Man U garb Papa has got me to parade in…

Just a peek of things to come…

Will I be a good student in Papa’s academy? :-D

Stay tuned to find out! Live and exclusive from this blog. Hee!

Cycle of Love

Last weekend was truly exciting indeed. Initially, we were supposed to travel back to see Ah Por and Ah Kung, but both Caitlynn and I were still recovering from our recent bout of flu and cough. Some more, there was this haze thingy that cropped up and made our air more polluted.

So Ah Por insisted that we stayed in KL and they would travel down instead! Ah Mai Pei Yee also just finished her exams that weekend and also made the trip down to double the fun. Hee! But of course, the one thing I was really looking forward to when they came down was my….BICYCLE!

Ah Kung had said he would fix up KuDeh Wei’s old trainer bicycle and bring it up to KL. You have no idea how many times I kept pestering Papa and Mama on when my bicycle would arrive.

And finally it did!….only then did I find out that even with two extra tiny wheels at the back, riding this machine is not an easy task! I cannot seem to set my mind to pedal forward…anyhow, I hope to get the better hang of things soon!

This is truly one bicycle that I really love! Ahhh….my Cycle of Love! Thank you Ah Kung and Ah Por!

My first BMX!

Smiles on wheels!

showing off road...:-p

pause for a pose with Ah Por and Caitlynn

Ah Por helping me to get started..

Ugh...this thing is heavy too! :-P

Meanwhile, Caitlynn is also enjoying herself running about in the park, which was quite empty that morning…

catch me if you can!

pretty cool rider...

wonder why people dun like to go 'down the hill'? It sure is FUN!

Swinging with Ah Por!

Sk8er Boi

After watching Mama skating around with so much fun, I just had to ask Ku Deh Wei to buy me a pair too. So, the last time when he was back in China, he bought me a not only a pair, but a full complete set of skating gear! Thanks you Ku Deh!

my safety helmet...

The wicked wheels....

full arm and leg protection..

After putting on the full gear – something really challenging already, I really felt like an Autobot…hehe..

ready or action!

Mama says I need to slowly practice my balance first, so I’ve begun my cruising practices around the house, using the sofa to assist me. it won’t be long now before I can vroom here, there and everywhere! hee!

Weeeeee! This is fun!

Apart from making sure i look cool and protecting me from all sorts of falls, I discovered the skating gear, especially the helmet does come in handy in protecting me from domestic violence too!…

the helmet....dun leave home without it! :-P

See-Saw Chair

I love to play on the see-saw. You know, that simple contraption they have in the playground where two people sit on either ends of a long pole which results in both people rocked in a up/down motion? Love it.

So, when there are times when we are not in a playground, or when we do not have a mobile see-saw ready, I guess we just need to simulate the see-saw experience.

One such place are restaurants or cafes when they have two chairs seated next to each other. See how much fun it can get when the see-saw experience is simulated here…

Standby mode...

up down up down...

up down up down...

Fun eh? Hehe..;-D

Basketball 101

Focus focus....

Basketball is truly a strange sport, but an exciting one too, if I may add. The objective is pretty simple: put the ball into the basket – hence the name ‘basketball’. Unfortunately, the basket is usually found way high up there in the sky beyond normal reach. I suppose that’s where it becomes more challenging…

why so high one?!!!

‘Attempts’ is the word they call for shots thrown at the basket. For small kids like me, they can also be called ‘Frustrations’. It’s hard enough to heave the ball into the air, let alone make any sensible aim of it. Now if the basket was as big as my laundry basket, I guess things may be more different…

if I could only mind bend the rim...sigh.

The round thingy around the basket is typically called the ‘Rim’. If most of my balls end up bouncing off the rim, I like to call it a ‘brimful of frustrations’…

A ‘Slam Dunk’ is when one could super humanly fly up above the rim and throw down the ball through the basket, hanging on to the rim for style and photo poses. For me, I usually need an ‘Assist’ to perform this stunt, as demonstrated here by my basketball coach/Kan Pa…hee!

Air Collin with the jam! Nice assist Kan Pa!

As with all sports, there will be some form of cheating every now and then. For me, when things get rough, and with no visible assist anywhere, I will find a way to climb up above and beyond the rim and do a simple drop down….:-p Shhhhhhhhh…..I call it a ‘Free Throw’…:-p

I call it resourcefulness...

Swish! nothin' but net!

Goal!!!!!!!!

Growing kids like me can pick up a lot of knowledge on TV. One of the more important stuff (according to Papa anyway) I picked up recently is how to celebrate when a  goal is scored in football. Here in a step-by-step sequential photos is how a basic goal celebration is done..

Lining up for the strike!

Ball goes in, so I drop to my knees..

Raise arms and yell "Goal!!!!"

Drop down and kiss the grass, er, or floor...

Slammin’ Cool House!

When Papa put up a toy house ( I think he said it was Uncle Pablo’s)  inside our own house, I knew I was gonna have a lot of fun with it. And it was no ordinary looking house. I has a roll down door and windows, and on the outside, it had a soft basketball board complete with net too! Cool!

Here are some photo captures of the many ways kids can have fun with toy houses!

Rise and shine, open the windows and blinds!

fun times with Cailtynn inside...

...too bad the size tended to create more injuries...and Caitlynn wailings..:-p

Slam Dunk! Kan Pa....I'm ready to play 1-on-1 with you!

A Golfing Good Time!

With Tiger Woods slumping out of form and the whole world starting to show disinterest in golf, I felt it would be a good time to train myself up from now so as to prepare to be the heir to Tiger’s supremacy. Hee!

Had a fun time jumping and running on the golfing greens. The grass is so short and fluffy to touch! :-p

Anyway, here are some shots of me and Caitlynn on the greens, as we waited for our professional photographers from Two-Pixels to come and do our family shoot at the Cyberjaya Community Clubhouse.

I'm swinging in the rain....:-D

Oh...so this is where the ball goes in...

people enjoy playing golf in the hot hot sun?!!!

ahhh....I prefer it better here with Mama under the shade...:-D

A Ball of a Time!

Mmmmm...this munchie has a bouncy feeling!

Balls are fun. Period.

Fun to roll about with. To eat. To chew. To bounce. To throw.

The list of exciting things to go ‘ballastic’ about just goes on and on…

That’s why I’m rather happy that in my home there is never a shortage of ball toys. I can be rest assured there will be those soft footballs or basketballs Papa will gladly pass to me to play with. At least they are soft enough so when sometimes Koko Collin becomes a little naughty and uses my head as bounce practice, it doesn’t hurt. Hmmmm, was that Papa encouraging it in the background?…sigh.

Anyway, whatever activity it is, it is always fun in the house when I’m having a ball of a time!
