Waking Miss Sunshine!

I find it strange why most adults wake up from their sleep with a grumpy attitude, sulky face and excessive whining…

More often than not, I find myself waking up in an extremely perky manner, smiley, happy and ready to live out the day! Wee!

Here’s what you get when you wake this little sunshine up every morning:

Pose of the Day!

Sharing is Caring!

Of Jesus and Chocolates

The following dialogue took place right before my bedtime…

Mama: Collin, it’s time for bed.

Me: OK.

Mama: Have you said your prayers yet?

Me: Not yet, Mama.

Mama: Come, let’s give thanks to Jesus for the day.

Me: Mama, I want to ask Jesus to take away the chocolate first?

Mama: Sorry, Collin….you want to ask Jesus to do what?

Me: I want to ask Jesus to take away the chocolate first.

Mama: You want to ask Jesus to take away the chocolate?

Me: Yes…

Mama: Err…why would you want to ask Jesus to take away the chocolate?

Me: So that my cough will get better…

Mama: OK…

Put your left leg out…

I think my cot is getting too small for me. At the rate I’m growing, it won’t be long before I won’t be able to move at all when I sleep. either that or I’m gonna be contsantly banging my head, hands and legs all over teh sides of the cot.

Haven’t I dropped enough hints lately?! Sigh…

The First Night…

…was definitely an incredible experience.

Last week, I decided I was old and bold enough. Heck, I was even confident enough. But most importantly, I was ready.

Ready for the next phase of my growth.

Ready for independence.

Though a little nervous, I braved myself to get through the night victorious. Although I did had the rubber mat strategically placed, the night was all about self-will and pure determination.

I kinda got the hang of it as the night wore on. It was certainly a new sensation…

Less restriction. Less heavy.

More freedom. More movement.

Morning came. Everything was still dry.  I am pleased with my achievement and I am sure Papa and Mama are too.

It was definitely a successful venture….my first night…

…without diapers.

Catnaps

if there was an animal to describe me at this phase of my life, a CAT would probably come close.

Not only is the first part of my name sounds really close to to a cat, I also naturally find myself preferring numerous short naps, compared to one long sleep.

Wonder if that’s the reason why Papa and mama are always rushing around to get things done whenever I have one of my catnaps? Hee!

Diva Divan

I still don’t understand what it is with adults and their fascination (or obsession, rather) for nice comfy mattresses. You will see all sorts of weird elements people would look for when buying a mattress, such as double, triple, quadruple coil springs, coconut husks or fibre, memory latex, Macpherson struts suspensions…

Anyway, for me, the best bed in the world would still be the natural mattress of Papa and Mama. Certainly beats any of the artificial mattreses out there! Hee!

Tummy Napping

Koko Collin was right! Well, this time anyway..

Recently, I discovered how much fun and comfortable it is to sleep on my tummy! Now that I’ve mastered the flip-over move, getting into the ‘tummy napping’ position isn’t too difficult.

At least now, it would be easier to pat my backside to help me go to sleep too! Hee!

My first pen(t)house!

One of the most exciting things about coming back to KL after Mama’s confinement is this – I get my own pen(t)house! Erm…ok, playpen, that is… the only strange thing about the playpen is that I’m not sure if I’m expected to ‘sleep’ inside the ‘play’pen? And if I am, why do they have those distracting stuff hovering above me. Are they supposed to hypnotised me to dreamland? Hmmmm

Nevertheless, it is really quite a  comfy place to be, and besides, it does keep me fairly safer from that mischievous brother of mine. Hee!

Going Undercover

What is it that fuels us to keep us going?

The intrigue.

The mystery.

The unknown.

The suspense of an exciting life.

Of espionage.

Of spy-games.

Of heroism.

Or perhaps of strange habits.

Of laziness. sleepiness. drowsiness.

Ah…the complexities of such.

Is it the comfort? The snugglishness? The security?

I simply call it the JOY.

The joy of sleep. Of the blanket. Of the pillows. Of my toys.

Of going UNDERCOVER.
