Deep & Shallow Thoughts

Real or Rubber?

I’m seriously confused..

Although I am constantly fed with my favourite food (actually, it’s my only food…), i.e. Mama’s goodness on a daily basis, I cannot help it but realise that there is something very disturbingly different concerning the feeds.

Sometimes it is all naturally good. But there would be other times when I feel like I’m sucking on some cheap imitation rubber..all these things have made me confused and started me thinking…a lot…like..

Why these two different treatments? Is that rubber thing safe? Do I get a choice? Why does Mama sometimes also uses the rubber imitation? Can’t I get genuine products forever? Why does he temperature of Mama’s goodness varies when the rubber is used? Where can I get the feedback form? Does Mama’s goodness come in any other flavours?

Hmmmm….hope I sort out all the answers soon. This rubber vs real issue seems to be giving Mama a stressful time too. Oops..

Leadership Skills: The Voice

As a baby, I am starting to pick up plenty of new skills….and on a daily basis too!

Of the many skills learnt, one of my current favourites has to be the “authoritative voice”….

Don’t let my size fool you! It only takes a second for me to open my mouth and let out this booming voice (usually the only voice I am able to let out with such ferocity is a crying voice.hee!) and the adults will drop everything and hurry to be at my service. Cool, huh?

Definitely a great pick up in my leadership skills portfolio. Hee!

Favourite Quotes

There are people who can become famous overnight by citing some quote that might suddenly become famous!

I hope I’m moving in the right direction with some of these current favourite phrases of mine….

“Own self!” (mark of independance!)

“Aiyo….Koko/(or anyone who isn’t wearing a shirt or pants..)…shame shame!”

“Where? Where?!!”

“SHHHhhhhh! Baby Caleb sleeping!”

“Meat!”

“Papa/(or anyone else) go where?”

“Me first!”

“Meimei wants Nen-nen!”

“OK..”

“Meimei good girl!”

“Now, what?!”

Feed and Poop Motion

Quick! What is the most DISGUSTING thing you have seen….or DONE?

At my very young age, I’m probably like a rookie in sharing such stories, but I think I should record down this particular disgusting thing I did that would probably still be on my list after I’ve grown up  many many moons later…

(WARNING: disgusting, graphical words ahead..)

During one of my typical feeds of Mama’s goodness, I suddenly felt the urge at my bumbum to ‘go’ too. And since I was already in quite a comfortable drinking position already, I just proceeded to poop poop…

In a motion sense, food came in one end and poop poop came out from the other…at the same time.

Ewwwww…:-p

Soothing Sounds of Strangeness

Call it eccentric or weird, but I have some really strange demands…even at this very young age. :-P

Whenever I start to give you an earful of my (now infamous) wailings, everyone better be prepared to perform some unorthodox stunt to sooth me quickly. It is quite simple really. Certain sounds or actions have what it takes to sooth me and reduce my cryings.

This is a basic list of my soothing sounds of strangeness:

- Put me near the soothing sounds of dripping water…

- Carry me up and down the stairs…

- Swing me left to right like performing some twist…

- Carry me facing forward..

- When it rains, bring me near the window or place where I can ‘listen to the rhythm of the falling rain..”

- Carry me facing back, over the shoulder

What are the sounds that soothes you?

The Truth about the Buffalo

As I am growing up, I have sort of become accustomed to some phrases that have been directed at me. For example…

“Cannot carry you already la, Collin. You are a big buffalo already!”

“Wah…so heavy…like a big buffalo!”

“Who is the big buffalo?”

“Collin….you cannot climb into the cot already. The cot will break. You are a big buffalo already!”

“Collin! You have to be careful not to run around and bump into Caitlynn and Caleb ok? You are a big buffalo now.”

ETC.

For quite some time, I had accepted the term ‘big buffalo’ quite happily….until the other day when I  found out what a BIG BUFFALO really is:

GASP?!!!! :-o

Those Baby Times…

Hmmm….am I spending way too much time with baby Caleb?

Recently, I strangely find myself in a regression of growth of sorts. It seems like I missed those good old days when i was a baby, and is now yearning for those baby years once more. Sigh..

Some of my current LIKES include..

- getting Mama to carry me on her lap whilst I drink my milk..

- enjoying sleep on Caleb’s bouncy net

- people carrying me around!

- adults to cradle me to sleep

- longer baths in tubs!

- comfort in the car baby carrier!

Sigh...I miss my car baby carrier!! :-)

Different Perspectives

I think know adults and kids always see things differently.

Maybe they need more glasses or more power, but they usually do not see things the way we kids do. Seriously!

I guess it could also be due to the fact that the older we get, the more stuff we tend to worry about, resulting in adults seeing things almost one-track minded. Hee. Kids, on the other hand, are virtually so free in our thoughts and with almost nothing much to worry or stress about, can see more things or think outside of boxes more!

Heck, kids literally PLAY with boxes anyway! :-P

Here is an example of what I’m trying to share..

Take a look at the photo below..

Pretty nice eh. Don’t pull out your hairs if you dunno what is it.

It is actually a really nice metal BOOKMARK that is apparently crafted into the shape and design of a (meow) CAT! I know for sure it is a cat because the other bookmarks that came with the pack had other animal designs like dogs and cows.

Now, whilst most adults can only see a CAT in the picture above, this is what I saw from the bookmark..

Yes! Do you see it?

It is Ah-Feet! Errr…I mean, PENGUIN!

Kinda sweet to have different perspectives, huh?

Do you see something ELSE from the picture? :-P

The Paint Job

Wouldn’t it be great if the art that we kids do could fetch big bucks? Hmmmm

Take painting, for example. A simple activity involving paint, brushes and paper…

Starts off with some focus and concentration…

More concentration…

When it is almost done, call in an expert to help with the final touch ups…

and finally you can unveil the masterpiece…

Starting price RM500….anyone?!!!

Big Baby

Hmmmph…..little babies have all the cool hardware!

The Moses basket….the playpen…the cute pillows and bolsters….those adorable mittens and booties…and the rocking, bouncy net of course!

Oh, how I have missed this bouncy net….the one that provided hours and hours of rest and sleep when I was little…

And surprisingly, not much has changed! I managed to sneak up on it the other day when Caleb wasn’t using it and was really enjoying the rocking and bouncy movements…still! Needless today, I was rocked to sleep in no time!

Hmmm…looking at how the bouncy net is almost in a horizontal position when I lie down on it, I think it is best for me to try to sleep on it a couple of more times before I am deemed too heavy to lie down on it! Psst…am pretty sure Koko Collin falls into that category already. Hee!

Do you still think about any of your old toys and sleeping stuff when you were little?
