The Milo Van Craze
Seriously, I had no idea how much impact this delicious drink called MILO had on the entire country!
When Papa found out about this MILO Van redemption thingy, he was all crazy about collecting the entire series….and thanks to some additional proof of purchases from Ah Ma/Ah Kong and Joyce Ah Kor, Papa managed to secure enough points to redeem all SIX vans in this redemption promotion.
Problem is, the entire country was just as crazy too as the stock of vans were all gone within weeks…so late submissions from Papa had to be processed at a much later date and we only got the full set of vans some 3 to 4 months after the forms were submitted.
It was kinda crazy like two vans would come on one month and then we had to wait for another month before the next two vans arrived and so forth. Hee!
But anyway, when all the vans arrived, Papa seemed the happiest…okok, maybe Koko Collin was delirious too because they added on to his vast collection of road vehicles…sigh….I wonder why they even bothered to pack the vans in those nice glass boxes because Papa and Koko Collin tore them out so quickly to get their hands on them.
…so Papa went on and on about his old schooldays when he had to line up together with the rest of the students to get a cup of Milo from these vans… and today, both Koko Collin and I may not have even seen such vans around, but we can always ask Mama to make us some Milo anytime of the day! Yay!
Well, at least with so many toy cars around the house, I still had the chance to play with these Milo vans every once in a while.
I thought this was the cutest.

Do YOU all also have that Milo craze?!
Auto-Conversations with Collin
I have noticed a lot my funny and colourful conversations takes place when I’m inside the car…so this is a special and exclusive ‘auto’ edition of my Colourful Conversations with Collin series…enjoy!
Me: Papa..
Papa: Yes, Collin?
Me: You know I can drive a car one..
Papa: Really?
Me: Yeah…just like you!
Papa: Haha. I think you’re still too small to drive a car, Collin.
Me: I can one!
Papa: Do you have a driving licence?
Me: Yes, I got driving licence. Just like you!
Papa: Really?
Me: Yes, Both you and me can drive because we got driving licence.
Papa: Haha…ok..
Me: Only Mei Mei cannot drive.
Papa: Why not?
Me: Mei Mei don’t have driving licence.
Papa: Oh? Then does Mei Mei have any other licence?
Me: Erm…yes. Mei Mei only got sleeping licence…
Papa: ?!!
—————
Me: Papa…
Papa: Yeah, Collin?
Me: What road is this?
Papa: This highway or road is called Besraya.
Me: What?
Papa: Besraya.
Me: What is Besraya?
Papa: It’s just the name of this road.
Me: Why?
Papa: erm….Papa is not sure. It was probably just given the name when they built the road.
Me: Orh…so the road name is Besraya..
Papa: Yup..
Me: Just like Buzz Lightyear!
Papa:?!!!
—————-
Me: Papa….why are there so many bumps on the road one?
Papa: The bumps are there to make sure people drive slower and safer.
Me: Orh…
Papa: For example, people driving too fast will have to slow down when they approach a bump lor..
Me: Ahh…then how come train tracks no bumps one?
Papa: Erm…train tracks cannot have bumps because if they do, the trains will be derailed by the bumps..meaning the trains will be thrown off the tracks..
Me: Why wor?
Papa: The train is already moving so fast already. If there was a bump, it will surely be thrown off the tracks.
Me: Orh…but we can remove the bumps from the train track what.?
Papa: That’s why there are no bumps in your train track set, right?
Me: So, cars cannot be thrown off the road?
Papa: No, unless they are moving really fast..
Me: What if the train can move on the road wor?
Papa: Err…Trains cannot move on the road, Collin.
Me: Yeah, because if they reach a bump, they can fly away! Like rocket like that!
Papa: ?!!

Street Party!
Personally, I really look forward to those days when my grandparents or Kan Pa/Kan Ma or aunties or uncles come to visit. Hey, it’s really much more than the occasional gifts they bring, OK?
I notice they usually come with the additional hands and legs that Papa and Mama seems to readily welcome. Hee! Whenever relatives come to visit, we’d usually get more time to roam here and there outside our house compounds.
Who would have thought both Caitlynn and I could have so much fun just along our main street of our house! Like the other day when Ah Por and Ah Koong came over for a visit, we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our sweet time playing on the streets! Almost seemed like a street party! Hehe.
Here are the photos that captured these special moments..
Family Foto Friday!

Kodak Moment with Kan Pa and Kan Ma!
“Koko!”
The simple four-letter affectionate name of my older brother, Collin is actually more useful than you think…
For example, I use it very frequently when questioned by Papa or Mama about some crime or stuff we were not supposed to do…
“OK, who spilled water here?”
“Who threw the toy?”
“Who tore the book?”
“Who hasn’t washed hands?”
Hehe…see how useful it is? Of course, sometimes, I blurt it out too often that I get caught when asked otehr things as well, like..
“Who wants to bathe first?”
“Who wants to be buckled in the car first?”
“Who wants dinner?”
“Who wants medicine?”
“Who wants some biscuits?”
Ahhh…and that’s why I sayang my Koko so much!
A Fishy Good Time!
It’s already been more than a week into the new year of 2012, but I just can’t stop thinking of the fun times during the long holidays of 2011!
One of those evenings in Ipoh, I followed Kan Pa and Kan Ma back to their home where I had the most delightful and ‘fishiest’ times ever!
You see, Kan Pa had bought Kan Ma a fish aquarium for her Christmas present and I had the special privilege to help out it up with Kan Pa! Wee!
It was definitely my first time playing setting up this type of thing, but I think I did well….and had a lot of fun too! These are some of the photos from my fishy evening:

Mission Completion!

We were so efficient and fast in setting up the aquarium that we had plenty of time after that to do many other things too, like helping Kan Ma water the plants and also take a nice evening stroll around the neighbourhood and meet some new friends…

Ahhh….now you see why I can’t for the next long holidays?..:-D
Remembering Christmas 2011: Celebrating My Birthday Again!
We didn’t only celebrate the birthday of Jesus in Christmas 2011. Since it was the closest time from my actual birthday that most of the relatives could come, Papa and Mama threw a simple lunch and cake cutting ceremony just for me!
Unfortunately, since I’m still a little shy in the midst of crowds, you can’t really tell from the photos that I’m having a good time, but trust me, I did have a good time, especially the opening of presents part! hee!

Remembering Christmas 2011: Feeding Fish in Ecopark
I will also remember Christmas 2012 for Kan Pa and Kan Ma who introduced us to this really cool place in Simpang Pulai called Eco Park.
Apparently, many people go there for one simple reason – to feed the fish! And with so many people feeding these fish on a daily basis, it’s no surprise how BIG so of them have become. Sure is scary to little girls like me!
Anyway, these are photos from our evening walk in the EcoPark:
well fed fish....
