Ways to make Papa Happy #14

After playing with toys, keep them all nicely and leave the room hall and floor completely clean and tidy. At the front of the kept toys, simply place a Man Utd card/plaque beside the toys.

Sure work one! :-D

Prune Princess

Have you ever encountered any type of food that you just seriously love but the taste makes you cringe so much that you love it more? Yeah, something like a love-hate relationship…

The Difference Between Boys and Girls #45

When the camera is locked, focused and the girls are asked to SMILE…

…and when boys are asked to smile…

The Lord’s Prayer

After my Sunday School classes ended last year, I sorta grew tired refreshing myself with the previous memory verses…so Papa and Mama decided that it would be a good time to teach me to memorise the Lord’s Prayer….which was kinda exciting because I hear the entire church reciting it every week. :-)

So after weeks and weeks of reciting and memorising the Prayer chunk by chunk, I am proud to say that I can now confidently pray our Lord’s Prayer out loud!

About three Sundays ago, I fully participated and joined in the church in praying this family prayer together…and boy, did I feel on top of the world! :-D

Here’s my chunk by chunk version of The Lord’s Prayer, with my personal notes in parenthesis…especially for those tougher chunks..) followed by the audio recording of my recital!

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father

Who art in Heaven

Hallowed be Thy Name (just like Paul Baloche’s song Your Name…)

Thy Kingdom come

Thy will be done on earth

As it is in Heaven

Give us this day our daily bread (I like bread)

And forgive us our trespasses (like sin – bad things, wrong things)

As we forgive those who trespass against us

And lead us not into temptation (attractive things that make us want to do wrong things)

But deliver us from evil (bad, bad things)

For Thine is the kingdom

And the power (like His power at work in us can do far more than we dare ask or imagine…memory verse from Ephesians 3 verse 20)

And the glory

Forever and ever

Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer – Collin

I Am Number FOUR

Happy Birthday to….ME! :-D

Family Foto Friday!

Choo! Choo!

You can call it the influence of Thomas or the Chuggington folks….or the numerous train lines that one can see in the city…whatever it is, there is just some kind of attraction between boys and trains that runs really deep.

So, you can imagine my excitement when Papa brought out a full set of wooden train track set for me to play, explore and create not too long ago. Apparently the set had been kept safe from me for quite some time already but Papa and Mama finally decided that I was old enough to play with it.

Lucky Caitlynn got to cash in the fun as well whenever I take out the tracks to play. :-)

Take a look at how much fun I can have when playing with one of my more favourite toys currently…

Baby’s Coming Home!

More Colourful Conversations with Collin

During our recent trip back in Sitiawan during the CNY break, Caitlynn and I were playing and making quite some noise..

Papa: Children! It’s late already….please don’t make so much noise.

Ah Por: Yeah. Silence is golden.

Me: Huh? Silence is golden?! What is that?

Papa: It’s just a saying…silence is golden.

Me: No la…silence is not golden.

Papa: Then, what is silence, Collin ?

Me: Silence is SHHHhhhhhhh…

Ah Ma: You have to always take care of them OK?

Me: OK….but…

Ah Ma: But what, Collin?

Me: But then, who will take care of ME?!

Ah Ma: ?!!

Papa: Collin, do you know the cheetah is one of the fastest animals?

Papa: The leopard is also part of the cat family, but it is not as fast as the cheetah.

Me: Orh….but this is only baby cheetah wor..

Papa: Yes, when it grows up it will become an adult and can run very fast lor..

Papa: What do you mean, Collin?

Split Exercises

I have received many encouraging comments about my previous blog entries about exercise routines, but there have been quite a number of suggestions that my steps could be further improved if a video or some form of animation is inserted.

So today, I am pleased to share with all of your exercise-fanatics my latest exercise tip…complete with a flash powerpoint photo description of how to execute it correctly.

If we are all ready, let’s take out those exercise mats and prepare to do some “Leg-Split Exercises”!

Step 1: Find a comfortable position with sufficient space to perform the leg splits. Tip: Stretch out your arms to measure the required ‘leg-room’.

Step 2: Sit down gently and lean forward so that your tummy is on the ground. Your face should be faced down now.

Step 3: Slowly move both legs upwards and apart from each other till you cannot raise them anymore. First split has been achieved! Congratulations!

Step 4: Count to 5 and retract both legs back to starting position.

Step 5: Repeat Steps 3-4 till legs are tired…
