Gold Coast Combers!

A couple of weeks ago, Papa and Mama decided to take a long drive to this quite unknown and secluded beach called Gold Coast Sepang. It was supposed to be ‘check-out’ visit for our upcoming free family portraiture photo shoot with Two Pixels Photography later next month.

Both Caitlynn and myself were pretty excited to go back to the beach! It was a truly beautiful place with plenty of sand, trees and grass. However the sea water looked rather dirty though.. anyway, I think it would be an excellent spot for our photo shoot! :-D

Here are some of the photos we took during our family outing to Gold Coast!

See more photos taken of this beautiful hide-away on Papa’s blog here.

My Favourite Barber!

My fear of barbers has become something quite legendary of late.

Finally, Papa and Mama decided that the only solution cheaper than opening their own barber shop, was to buy a set of hair clippers and cut my hair in the comfort of my home! They managed to find this nifty wireless gadget and Mama immediately experimented with it on me because my hair was seriously growing faster and longer than the weeds outside our garden…

It started off rather sensationally itchy, but after a while, it was actually quite pleasant! Rather pleased with the result, if I do say so myself! Thanks, Mama…my favourite barber!

A Knot’s Tale

Last Friday, I survived an adventure I will never, ever forget..
It was the day I packed up enough courage and bravado in my suitcase, went to the hospital and had my knotted tongue released..
The day started earlier than usual. Papa and Mama had taken leave to see me through this op. Before the sun even came out, we were already packing up to leave the house. I was even barely awake myself!
Our first stop was to Auntie D’s house where Koko Collin was dropped off..possibly to reduce the noise levels in the hospital..tsk tsk.. Then, we made our way to the same hospital where Mama delivered me in November last year – Pantai Ampang. When we arrived and registered, it was about 8am. After a while, wewere escorted to the bedded room where I would be resting after the op. It was nice of the hospital to give us a two bedded room even though we opted for a four-bedded room. Hee! Guess my cute smile can still work charms this early in the morning..:-D

the longest wait...

It was a long wait after that…sigh. We did get a visit from this ‘anotherstatic’ doctor who was awkwardly trying to explain the dangers and risks involved in giving me some anotherstatic gas. Later, Papa mumbled that the 5 minute pep talk cost RM60…

tagged...i'm it!

My last feed was at 3am since doctor’s orders was that I was to fast for at least 4 hours before the op. So we waited..and waited…and waited…sigh. Even those metal bars on the bed was starting to look delicious… finally, a nurse came in and tagged me and I was told to prep up for the op. I was given this XXXXL sized hospital gown to wear. I think it was the same size as the one Koko Collin wore last time. Sad to see the hospital still didn’t make any effort to get smaller sized gowns since then. Anyhow, the gown made me feel colder and tense. Sure, the air cond in the room didn’t help either.
We were only called to go up to the theatre about 9.15am. Inside there, only one parent was allowed to bring me in so Mama took up the challenge! I was then given this cute headgear. Not sure if it was to keep me warm..or to prevent me from pulling out anymore hair.. Papa was sent off to a waiting lounge to wait in agony..

dressed for the theatre!

Inside the theatre, I am only able to remember being put to lay down before some gas overcame me…when I came to, I was already back in the earlier room with Papa and Mama. Whew! It was finally over! I still felt strangely more sleepy than usual after the op, so I really rested quite a lot that day.

it's over?!!

We left the hospital in the afternooon for more rest at home. :-D  All in all, a truly scary experience, but now I can finally say it is not a knot no more! Hee! :-P
Can’t wait to try out what new decibels I can reach with my newly released tongue! :-D

it's over! yay!!

what a relief!!

And then there were four…

I can finally make that ‘snapping’ sound! Yay!

My two front teeth at the top have grown so my bottom two now have company…and also symphony! Hee!

Sure helps in chewing my favourite baby bites..hee!

Riddle of the Day!

What has eight wheels, moves at 5km per hour, is unstable and yet screams in delight?

Collin on roller skates! Wee!

everyone...have fear! Collin is on wheels!...:-P

Light a candle for me…

It has come again. After almost a month of waiting in stress (and cute dresses..), my tongue operation is scheduled for tomorrow morning, around 8 something. My time to face the unknown is going to happen. After the unexpected reprieve of the holiday mix-up by the hospital, I shall have to muster up all the courage I have and continue to hum in my head that Veggie tale song that “God is bigger” than this operation…

Of course, I would greatly appreciate all the prayers and support from everyone! On the positives, I just can’t wait to test out my new and improved yells and screams after the operation! Hee!

scary times ahead - please pray for me!

My New Throne

With Meimei Caitlynn growing up fast, Papa and Mama decided that it was time for me to get a new throne, err, car seat so that she can eventually ‘graduate’ from her baby carrier.

It took some time to adjust to the new throne, but eventually I grew to love it. I’m even insisting to buckle the belts myself too, in some lame attempt to learn how to release myself, of course..hehe..

A Mama Moment

This is a clip of me about two weeks back in a ‘yet another proud Mama moment’, where I clearly called out for Mama…hehe. Of course, I was hungry at that time too, but since I’m still feeding on Mama’s goodness, there’s no denying it. I’m clearly calling out for Mama! :-)

Now I can call out other things too, like “Ayah…”, but Papa does not seem amused. :-P .

Sigh, will need more practice with my talking skills if I’m ever gonna get my hands on that nice pair of shoes I saw the other day…:-D

Commando Caitlynn

I wonder how young must one before they can be enrolled into national service, because I’m seriously looking forward to it! Hee!

Check out my tough looking, and yet lady-like commando outfit. now, who doesn’t like tough ladies, eh? :-P

pick me! pick me!
