Family Foto Friday!

I sure love these 'slinging' times with Mama! Wee!

Bubble Talk

I am slowly, but surely discovering more about myself and what I can do…..including finding out I have a voice that can do more than just crying and wailing….

Speech is sure one skill that is difficult to master…or is it muster? Anyway, I am practicing, or trying rather, to speak my mid or form words I have in my head…but all that comes out so far are just bubbles and baby lingo no one can understand. Sigh…

I wonder if how many floors and sofas I need to dirty with my bubbled drool before I finally say something that could eb understood. Hmmmm…

If the mouth fits..

I think I must be in some exciting phase of my life where I just have this urge to taste and bite on anything and everything that I can catch hold of…especially items that can fit nicely into my mouth!

Papa and Mama has been on higher alert status whenever Koko Collin plays with his Potato or Lego nearby…

Anyway, I guess that also explains why they keep stuffing these things called teethers into my mouth. Apparently it will help me to master the art of chewing and also helps in the teething process. My only question is why are some of these teethers shaped like donuts or fishes or even a bunch of keys?!! Sure is funny how adults think when they come up with these ideas for toys…

Undercover Kindness

The other day…immediately after my dosage of my favourite flu medicine, being a good son and all, I offered to keep the bottle of medicine back into the fridge. Mama was so touched by my moment of kindness and promptly helped in opening up the huge fridge door for me to keep it….which I did…right there on the second shelf on the fridge, next to the bar of chocolate and bottle of honey.

Mama smiled as she closed the fridge door, thinking what a helpful son I am.

I smiled as I walked away…with the all-important knowledge of the exact coordinates of the medicine…hehehe..shhhhhhhh..:-p

Shy Singer Stratagem

Another strategy in my book on how to drive parents up the wall…hee! This is called the ‘Shy Singer Strategem’…

Papa: Collin…let’s sing a song…

Me: OK.

Papa: Twinkle, twinkle, little star…

Me: Collin sing…Collin sing!

Papa: OK…Collin sing lah..

Me: I don’t know…

Papa: Then, Papa continue to sing, ok? twinkle, twinkle little star…

Me: Collin sing! Collin sing!

Papa: OK…Collin sing then.

Me: I don’t know…

Fun Pics with Mei Mei

I think I’m beginning to appreciate my role as a big brother to Mei Mei Caitlynn. Sure, when she came into the picture, she somewhat took away most of the attention of Papa and Mama. I still feel a little jealous at times, but I can also sense more love has also developed between us.

Most times, she looks like a little doll or action figure….and to me, new toys are always interesting to play with…hee! Yeah, I still need to constantly remind myself, not all her limbs can be flexible and pull-able (Papa and Mama constantly (and loudly too) reminds me of this as well), but overall, I do enjoy just being around her. Hee!

Here are some pics of just the two of us having fun!

Diaper Model

A couple of months back, Mama signed up to try out some cloth diapers from a specialy shop called Tiny Tapir. Since Koko Collin never started off on cloth diapers, it was a rather special experience for me and Mama.

Apart from making me feel proud to do my small part in saving the world environment through these cloth diapers, I personally thought they really look cool and fashionable! On the comfort side, I think they are definitely more comfy that the disposable ones. After all, my entire bum bum is covered by nice towel-like cloth!

Anyway, recently Papa and Mama took us all out to this baby fair in some shopping mall and chanced upon some rather cheap cloth diapers! To my delight, Mama promptly added the one in the picture below to my collection. Like the safari-like design with cute animal prints on it, from a brand called Autumz! :-D

Say my name, say my name….

Through my recent interactions with relatives, friends of Papa and Mama and also some strangers, I have come to realisation that not many people out there knows how to pronouce my name correctly! Sigh….well, I guess it’s a ‘burden’ I need to carry around with such a unique name…hee!

For the record, I have been addressed a couple of times like ‘Katherine’, ‘Kat-te-line’, ‘Kat-hrin’, etc..

For those curious to know, do head on over to my personal page Caitlynn where you can read about my growth updates, and more importantly…how to pronounce my name properly…

In brief, don’t let the length nor the spelling distract your tongue. My name is simply pronouced as if you wanted to say ‘Kate-lin’….takes a while, but soon after the correct pronounciation of my name should roll off your tongue easily. :-D

Of course, if it is still a challenge, I also respond to the name Princess….hee! :-p
