Going Undercover

What is it that fuels us to keep us going?

The intrigue.

The mystery.

The unknown.

The suspense of an exciting life.

Of espionage.

Of spy-games.

Of heroism.

Or perhaps of strange habits.

Of laziness. sleepiness. drowsiness.

Ah…the complexities of such.

Is it the comfort? The snugglishness? The security?

I simply call it the JOY.

The joy of sleep. Of the blanket. Of the pillows. Of my toys.

Of going UNDERCOVER.

“Man U! Man U!”

Whenever Papa is feeling down or when he needs a little cheering up, I have the remedy.

You see, I am already able to recognise this unmistakable logo of Papa’s favourite football club. Don’t ask me how, but I guess the logo and name somehow grew on me. So, I would simply point to the logo or jersey that I see and repeat continuously..”Man U! Man U!…”

I would immediately get a loving bear hug that says “I’m so proud of you, son!” written all over it. Hee!

Mama would usually just shake her head when she sees this…:-p

Gong Xi! Gong Xi!

Pose of the Day!

“Ooh…look what big eyes I have!!”

Butterfingers

I always seem to be easily distracted. Everything that I hold can easily drop. If they don’t, I might just as easily throw them to the ground.

This has resulted in several comments that if I became a footballer, I could never be a goalkeeper. Sigh.

Papa says perhaps I could still be one….in England at least. I wonder what that means.

Hmmm…maybe THAT’s why I don’t get to carry MeiMei Caitlynn yet…:-p

Your name is pure

Just as Papa wrote and dedicated a song, Through Your Eyes, to Koko Collin when he was born, I was uberly excited when Papa also wrote one for me too!

Although, the guitar riffs and vocals were a bit off, I am really happy and grateful for Papa’s efforts. Thank you, Papa!

YOUR NAME IS PURE

We are so blessed, with a girl like you

To have you in our lives, it’s like a dream coming true

The sounds that you make, when you express yourself

The groans, grunts and cries, are like music of life

Caitlynn, your name is pure (2X)

A most lovely trait to carry with you

So pleasing and endearing when we call you too

Caitlynn, with your allure

We know for sure

Your name is pure

We are so thankful, to be able to see

Those pretty little eyes, twinkling ever so brightly

The movements you make, every stretch or flip

Is poetry in motion, even when you’re asleep

Music & Lyrics: Papa, 2009

You’ll Be Chairished…

Coming back home to KL sure is fun but I’ll definitely miss some of the things that I could only do in Sitiawan during my one and a half months ‘confinement’ with Mama and MeiMei Caitlynn. In no particular order, these are the things I cherish the most from Sitiawan:

1. Being pampered with fruits and snacks from Ah Por and Ah Koong.

2. Chasing (and getting chased) by chickens and dogs…

3. Sleeping VERY late and getting to wake up VERY late too…hee!

4.  Lots of stairs to climb and and down and jump with…hehe..

5. My favourite rocking chair….sniff sniff..you’ll surely be chairished…:-((

“Yao, yao, yao…one of my first Mandarin words I learnt..”

“My sleeping companion too..:-D”

“Up close and personal..”

“Ahhh…scars of affection”

“What Are Little Boys Made Of?”

Found this delightful tradional rhyme from Wikipedia that never fails to make me smile (and laugh too!). Reminds me of Koko Collin too…hee!
“What are little boys made of?
What are little boys made of?
Frogs and snails
And puppy-dogs’ tails,
That’s what little boys are made of.
What are little girls made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice
And all that’s nice,
That’s what little girls are made of.”

And that’s why I’m always an angel to Papa and Mama…hee!

Sty Away!!

A couple of weeks ago, Mama noticed  a lump or a small boil growing on the eyelid of my right eye. Although it wasn’t painful, it did feel rather itchy at times, and quite irritating too. And since I’m a girl, I guess these things would definitely matter more to me. :-p

Papa looked it up and said it could be something known as ‘sty’ or another variant called colazoin or something spelt like that. The articles also gave some handy tips of clearing this up. Amazing how this wonder called the Internet can also be known as a virtual doctor. Hee!

Thus began Mama’s daily routine of putting a damp warm cloth on the infected area. After a few days, the discharge came out on its own and I’m sty-free! Yay!

Anyhow, during a visit to the doc to get my second jab, he confirmed that it is that colazoin thingy (can’t they just call it sty v2 or something simpler?!), and asked Papa and Mama to continue monitoring my eyes…which shouldn’t be a problem because the gleam in my eyes just seems to attract everyone to monitor me closely…hee!

Funny Face Friday!
