Happy Birthday Papa!

"Won't you take us for a ride on your shoulders on this happy occasion? Hee! (ok..maybe just me. MeiMei is still too small)"

Happy Birthday!!! We Love You!

Collin, Caitlynn & Mama

Taking Turns

Sorry Mama.

We know that the past month and a half of confinement with Koko Collin and myself has been quite tiring and tough for Mama at times.

Please understand that our extraordinary timing is something we cannot control. Mama should know what I’m talking about. Remember those days and (usually) nights that both of us would naughtily take turns to cry and wake Mama up, depriving you of your precious sleep and rest.

And there were also those times where the two of us would take turns to poop – one after another. I know washing our bum bums like a factory line is not a pleasant thing to do.

And there were also those times we would take turns to plead for your attention…

We know you can’t wait to go back so that you could then take turns with Papa to help out, eh? Tell you what – we’re excited to be going back home soon too! :-D

Granted Grunts

I may not have the power of speech yet, but I pretty sure I’m moving in the right direction with the continuous honing of my grunting skills.

Yup, I realized that this mono-syllable tone can be quite a powerful weapon if used correctly. And more often than not, it can be funny too!

One grunt here. One grunt there. Suddenly the adults are scampering all over the place. Another grunt here…and there…and here again. The towels and creams and diapers start to come out. Ahhhh….after one final grunt and push, it’s over.

My grant has come true yet again…time for my bum bum to be washed. Wee!

Watch Me!

I wonder when I would able to read and tell time.  It’s still quite a challenge to tell a clock apart from a watch. I know the watch is smaller but the challenge comes in when the clock seems quite far away. Hmmph.

Anyway, this watch that Ah Ma got for me sure looks cool on my wrist, if I can say so myself. So until the time (heh..) that I can offer my services as a time-keeper or time-announcer, it shall remain an accessory.

Perhaps Ethan Koko can give me some tutorials on telling time. I was really impressed by his timeliness announcements when we last met. Can ah? If he has the time, of course…Hee!

Laundry Helper

I’m sure turning out to be Mama’s favourite little helper around the house. Hee!

Here are some of the steps I take to help Mama do our house laundry.

Step 1: Really make sure there are no more clothes in the laundry basket. Trust me, when I say really make sure, I REALLY make sure…

Step 2: Push the bar stool towards the washing machine. Usually Papa helps me with this. Helps with less noise pollution too. Hee!

Step 3: I am carried and sitted on the bar stool where Papa or Mama would pass me the laundry to be thrown into the washing machine. I can’t believe I actually thought this was a jaccuzi when I was younger. Hhhmph!

Step 4: After the washing detergent is poured inside, I will be guided on which buttons to press to initiate the washing process.

Step 5: Done! Now I can go back to Step 1 and play with the laundry basket cum cage toy! Wee!

Family Foto Friday!

"Nostalgic photo when we were still THREE....hee!"

Cutest Baby of the Planet 2009

“Hello people! My name is Collin Cheah Yi Wen and I was born on 19 Feb 2008″

The title of today’s blog really scares me. Imagine a contest with the winner walking (or possibly crawling) away with that title of being the cutest on the PLANET! Does it mean we’re competing against babies from other countries…or even baby animals? Gasp! Now, don’t you think it sounds scary?

Alas! I had to make my already thick skin (thanks for the DNA Papa!) a little more thicker and try my luck with a  submission of myself in this wonderful contest organised by MomBloggersPlanet. After all, the list of all the 20 prizes that is worth more than RM 4,000 is tempting enough for make me drool a bucketful already…

Since MBP now already has 14 babies in the running for this ‘world title’ since this competition began in June 2009, they have been generous enough to open up nominations for SIX more babies to be selected to join in the final 20 list. Wee!

If you know of a cute baby (or if you are one yourself  *wink*) aged between 0-3, regardless of if he/she is our child, sibling or cousin, then you MUST quickly head on over to the NOMINATION PAGE today to submit an entry. Closing date for nominations is on 10 Jan 2009 so better act fast! Remember, you are doing it for the sake of our PLANET. All cute babies must be paraded! :-p

Starting Young

I seriously believe Papa has this psychotic obsession with this sport called ‘football’. Whatever level of obsession this is, he sure is starting me from young!

I find myself asleep one minute and when I wake up, I see these football-themed booties on both my feet!

What next? Red coloured football jerseys? Gosh, I sure hope I get to follow Mama for clothes-shopping in the future! :-p

"But seriously?!"

My First Moon!

Koko Collin warned me about days like these.

You know, the ones where the adults will celebrate a big event at expense of your name in a big way but the main VIP, ie ME, don’t even get a sniff at those wonderful dishes on display. Hmmph.

It was 26 Dec 2009. Yup, it was the day I collected my first moon and celebrated it with some of my relatives, many of whom I only met for the first time that day.  Papa and Mama did  a similar do as when Koko Collin ‘celebrated’ his first moon by arranging for a lunch at Hotel Excelsior, Ipoh.

I behaved like a good girl and slept throughout the entire lunch thingy. Hey, if everyone else was busy chomping away, there isn’t much I can do, right? Hmmph. I don’t think I was passed around as much as Koko Collin. Probably because nobody wanted to be the ‘one who woke her up’. Hehe.

Instead of the traditional angkus and red eggs that adults like to distribute on occasions such as this, Papa and Mama decided to opt for a contemporary twist by distributing cute cupcakes with baby-themed icings on top. I heard they were specially baked and ordered online from Apple Kitchen in KL! Apart from the normal cupcakes, there was also this box of 25 mini cupcakes to be tasted by my guests after lunch. Simply love the cute decorations and oh, eight of them had my NAME written on it too! Thanks Papa and Mama! Too bad, I couldn’t taste them. Hee!

Here are some photos taken during this wonderful occasion!

Lovely greeting on the lovely box with lovely cupcakes!

Aren't they cute?! :-)

Shhhh...I'm sleeping...

My full moon attitude pose. Hehe

Me and my favourite grandmas! Hee!

I worry…

Ah….my first ever blog posting. Seems awkward to be posting my life online but since my big brother seems to be having fun doing it for almost two years now, there must be something to it, right? :-) So I think I shall dedicate my first blog to my big brother Collin.

I have heard many people saying I am really blessed and fortunate to have such a good brother like Collin who can look after me, guide me, teach me stuff, etc. You know, like what big brothers are supposed to do.

I kinda liked the idea of having someone older and wiser to look up to as I grow up in the unknowns of this world.

THAT was before I saw some of his photos below…then I started to worry…
